Great news! Value Factory is leading the €2 million seed investment in Struck!

By 6 November 2025No Comments3 min read

We’re proud to announce our new investment in Struck, an Amsterdam-based startup that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify the complex world of building regulations. Struck makes construction faster, more cost-efficient, and fully compliant — while helping the industry become more sustainable.

The round was led by Value Factory Ventures, with participation from Antler and several business angels from the real estate and construction sectors.

Why this matters
Across Europe, construction projects face an ever-growing mountain of regulations — from zoning plans to energy requirements and sustainability standards. This leads to delays, higher costs, and uncertainty. All while we urgently need more housing and faster progress toward sustainability.

Struck is developing an AI platform that gives architects, developers, and municipalities instant insight into the regulations applicable to their projects — and in the future automatically checks whether a design meets all requirements. By digitizing and automating these compliance checks, Struck helps accelerate permitting processes, reduce risks, and foster innovation across the construction value chain.

What’s next
Since its launch in 2024, Struck has already made significant progress in the Netherlands. With an extensive AI library of building and zoning regulations and its Permit-Free Calculator — a tool that lets users check with a single click whether a construction plan is permit-free — the company is making the permitting process simpler and more consistent.

The new investment will be used to further develop the compliance and design check platform and expand its rollout to other European countries.

Max van Riel, Co-founder of Struck:

“Building regulations are becoming increasingly complex, while the need for faster and more sustainable construction is greater than ever. With Struck, we help both public and private parties navigate regulations with ease. This investment enables us to further develop our platform and expand into other European countries.”

Johan van Heusden, Managing Partner at Value Factory Ventures:

“The construction sector accounts for nearly 40% of global CO₂ emissions, while we need to build millions of new homes. Struck removes one of the biggest obstacles: regulatory complexity that slows down and drives up the cost of sustainable projects. By translating regulations into real-time design intelligence, Struck helps make the green transition in construction faster, scalable, and achievable. This aligns perfectly with the mission of Value Factory.”

Struck is currently active in the Netherlands and is preparing for a rollout to several European countries.
